Sending Artwork Tips
Artwork Requirements:
Select a print option of "My Logo/Graphic(s) only" or "Text plus My Logo/Graphic(s)", and you will be direct to our Artwork Uploader at the end of the check-out process.
Electronic Artwork should be uploaded using our Artwork Uploader or e-mailed to Art@MiniSportsBalls.com.
We highly suggest submitting your artwork as vector files. Vector artwork is required for multi-color imprint orders. We accept files from most vector drawing programs. When vector artwork is unable, we recommend the resolution should be at least 300dpi preferably 600dpi (Black & White or Bitmap images) for TIFFs, JPGs, and BMPs graphics (non-vector formats).
Below are the acceptable file formats for electronic artwork:
.PDF (Portable Document Format, Adobe Acrobat)
Artwork created in another program and merely saved as a PDF does not guarantee acceptable artwork. We will review your files and let you know if they are acceptable.
.AI or .EPS (Adobe® Illustrator® CS 5 (version 15) or below)
All text must be converted to outlines. Artwork sent as an illustrator file, must be created in, not imported/placed into illustrator.
GIFs, PNG, JPG, or JPEG (Web Graphics)
Web graphic images may not reproduce well. We will review your files and let you know if they are acceptable.
TIF, TIFF, BMP, PCX, PGN, JPG or PSD (Adobe Photoshop®) High Resolution or Scanned Graphics:
The recommend resolution is at least 300dpi preferably 600dpi (Black & White, Bitmap or layered image). We recommend scanning artwork at a minimum 300 dpi preferably 600dpi. Saved as a Black & White, Bitmap image.
MS Word® Documents and MS PowerPoint® Documents:
.doc, .docx, .ppt files can only be accepted as an illustration of the imprint. We may not accept logos that have been copy and paste into MS Word or PowerPoint. Please send the original graphic file, include a list of the fonts used in your Word or PowerPoint files.
CDR or WMF (CorelDRAW® version 10 or below):
Convert all text to curves. If you use CorelDRAW X3 or higher, save your files down to CorelDRAW 10 or export as an Adobe Illustrator .AI file. To save a file down, choose File > Save As and then choose Version 10.0 from the Version pop-up menu. Click Save.
Note: Artwork created in another program and merely saved as one of these file extensions does not guarantee acceptable artwork [e.g. a JPEG saved in Illustrator® as an ".ai" file does not make it a vector file].
Facts about Artwork:
A minimum resolution of 600 dpi is recommended. Faxed artwork is not acceptable. Bad artwork with jagged lines, poor line width and definition will not reproduce any better than actual artwork.
HALFTONES: Halftones are reproduced on a 55 to 85-line screen at 100% with 25%-75% shading. Anything above 75% shading will appear solid - anything below 25% will not reproduce. Halftones must be within 10% of actual reproduction size.
Custom Art Charges: Custom Logo Designs or Clean-Up Charges will be quoted per job with customer approval.
Color Match or PMS (Pantone Matching System): Exact color match is not available. Colors will be produced within a few shades of color. Inks reproduce differently on different colors of plastic and vinyl and ink colors may appear darker than they actually are.
